Update Logo & Brand Assets

Update Logo & Brand Assets

Make sure your app is properly branded.

Start by creating an app launch asset library checklist.

This will help you launch each new app quickly and effectively.

Overview

Create A Reusable Brand Asset Library Template: We especially appreciate this Quest for reminding us to check our apps have all the following assets: Logo, Icons, Favicon, Splashscreen, 3rd party service images, placeholders, API Notification/Mail logos and more.

Key benefits

✅ Setup Your App Logo, Icon and Favicon

Your logo should be simple and memorable, and easy to translate into an icon and favicon. Your icon should be easy to recognise at a small size, and your favicon should be 16x16 pixels, and should match your logo and icon.

✅ Don't Forget Your Splashscreen!

This is the first thing users will see when they open your app, so you'll want to make sure it’s awesome. Keep in mind that Splashscreens can be different for each platform (iOS, Android, etc).

✅ Passwordless Authentication Assets

Create a few SMS and email templates to use for passwordless authentication, to help you speed up the login process. For Auth0 images, we recommend using your logo and shield images.

Some App Launch Assets That Can Be Tricky To Remember

✅ App Icon: Your icon will be displayed on people's devices, so it's important that it's designed for easy recognition. It should be simple, yet eye-catching, so people will want to click on it.

✅ App Favicon: Your favicon is the small image that appears in a web browser's tab next to the site's name. It's not as important as your logo or icon, but it's still worth taking the time to design a high-quality one.

✅ App Splashscreen: When you launch your app, the first thing users will see is your Splash Screen. This is the image that will appear while your app is loading, so it's important to make a good first impression!

✅ Android Push Icon: When you release your app, you'll want to make sure you have a push icon available. This is the icon that will be displayed on the Android notification bar when a push notification is received. It should be simple and recognizable, so that users know at a glance that your app has sent them a notification.

✅ API Notification Mail Logos: When you make an update to your API, you might want to send people who’re using your app a notification email. Adding a mail logo will make it easy for them to recognise that the notification is coming from your app.
